First_Name: Dave CommentsI live in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA where I jobshare a Geologist position with my wife. I began writing fiction after returning from the Gulf War, and have had several stageplays produced. A few years ago, my wife and I had the counterintuitive insight that despair is a form of learned behavior which stems from repeatedly having ones hopes and dreams broken and destroyed. Eventually, all hope ends up feeding despair. We've found this to be true with all those people we've talked to about the subject, and are gradually learning to experience hope without being crushed. I can discuss this with anyone interested, and can provide an English language short story, and essay to anyone wishing to look at this possibility in their own lives. Ironically, based upon experience, reading this message will probably push many despairing person down because it offers hope.
